PDT have a dedicated in-house UK based industrial design team that can take product ideas through to production ready designs. We have a range of experience from designing consumer electronics products for leading global brands to developing products for new technology start ups.

Typically our design services include:

• Concept generation: Taking an early product idea, concept or opportunity and developing concept designs to satisfy market demands. This early development stage takes into account user requirements, functionality, ease of use, market positioning and price points to produce a commercially successful product. This stage will result in product renderings and basic models to assess the different concepts and select a design to take forward.
• Product development: Developing a product concept into a production ready design. We have an experienced team of mechanical engineers to produce detailed CAD designs and prepare the design for manufacture. This process will typically involve a series of prototypes to test the concept and make working prototypes for market research and product approvals before tooling is started.
• Design for manufacture: Re-designing or streamlining an existing product to manufacture more effectively or at a lower cost.
